Beginning October 21, 2026, all Adobe Certified Professional certifications and Adobe Certified Professional Specialty credentials will be valid for five years, extending the current three-year validity period.
What does this mean for credential holders?
For certifications earned on or after October 21, 2026, new Adobe Certified Professional certifications and Specialty credentials will be valid for five years from the date issued.
For certifications earned before October 21, 2026, the new five-year validity period will also apply retroactively to eligible certifications and Specialty credentials issued within the five years preceding the October 21 update.
This means:
- Currently active credentials will have their expiration dates extended to five years from their original date of issue.
- Previously expired credentials that fall within the new five-year validity window as of October 21, 2026, will be reinstated with an updated expiration date.
For example, a certification earned on November 15, 2022, originally expired on November 15, 2025, under the three-year policy. With the new policy, that certification will be reinstated and remain active through November 15, 2027.
No action is required
Beginning October 21, eligible credential holders will automatically see their updated expiration dates reflected in their JVIDÊÓƵ My Transcript, Adobe Certified Professional certification certificate, and Credly badge.
No action is required from credential holders to receive the extended validity period.
