Exam delivery info
For classes and schools, Knowledge Pillars exams can be run in a classroom or remotely online on their Ark certification platform. For in-person sessions, the teacher provides a unique group code that students enter to join the classroom exam, which is then activated.
In-person exams require a proctor to manage the testing environment and ensure fair testing. This proctor cannot be the teacher who taught students the exam material (to preserve impartiality), but may be any school academic employee who holds a high school diploma and speaks the language in which the exam is administered. Proctors may be present in the room with test takers, in a separate room with a viewing window (offering a full view of the testing room), or in a separate room equipped with a camera for remote viewing (also offering a full view of the testing room).
Remote test takers can take their exam from anywhere with a stable internet connection and a quiet, private space. Test takers will be required to show their physical desktop and the surrounding space. Additionally, they must have an adequate laptop or computer (no phones or tablets). See specific machine qualifications . The test taker’s ID will also be verified in remote exam situations using photo ID (or with parent approval for minors). Exam scores will be sent to teachers following a review period (typically 72 hours).
